Gillian Canavan is an actor based in Queensbury, NY. A recent graduate of the State University of New York at Oneonta, she holds a Bachelor's degree in both Theatre and English. While at SUNY Oneonta, Canavan advanced to the Semi-Final auditions of the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Region 1 in 2023.

     Outside of acting, Gillian has developed a passion for strength training. Over the past four years, she has become an avid weightlifter and believes that the growth she has made in the gym has aided her growth as an actor!

     Canavan's most recent projects include Picasso at the Lapin Agile by Steve Martin, directed by Zach Curtis at Chenango River Theatre. In this production she portrayed the roles of Suzanne, Countess, and A Female Admirer. 

 

     Gillian also recently starred as Viola in Glimmer Globe Theatre's production of Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare, directed by Michael Tamburrino.
